Course preview
Our continuing education courses keep you focused on what matters most in architecture and design. Achieve more with continuing education that blends trusted expertise with real world application.
This is Part 1 of a four-part course exploring Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and its critical role in building design and construction. Part 1 establishes the fundamental components of IEQ—air quality, lighting, acoustics, and thermal comfort—and examines how these elements impact occupant health, comfort, and satisfaction. The course covers both mandatory regulatory requirements and voluntary certification systems, while also addressing health hazards in the built environment. The course emphasizes a holistic approach to design that integrates human-centric principles with practical, measurable outcomes to create spaces that promote occupant well-being while meeting modern standards for comfort and sustainability.
